Dan Mason

Dan was very active in martial arts as teen. He competed at a national level in Taekwondo where he holds a second degree black belt. He then participated in kickboxing matches and learned Muay Thai, earning his Kru, which is an instructor rank. The final step in his martial arts career was expanding his resume to in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu while he competed in Mixed Martial Arts with a record of 9-2. He retired from the sport in 2010 and started looking for another competitive outlet.

Dan found CrossFit and loved the competitive side. It felt very similar to MMA training. As he practiced and competed, Dan realized he was much more naturally gifted in strength movements than body weight exercises and transitioned to Strongman and Powerlifting.

In Strongman, Dan has won many local contests and finished top 10 at USS nationals in 2013. In Powerlifting Dan finished 4th at IPL Worlds in 2016 in Las Vegas.

Currently, Dan still competes and is working toward a national title in the USSF in October 2021.

Dan focuses on helping clients get strong and build muscle either for lifestyle reasons or with the goal of competing in a strength sport.

Come by and say hello! He can be found lifting around 6PM most weeknights with his fiancé, Ellen.
